Adekunbi 2 years without my father September 23, 2016
Today marks 2 years of your passage to join the Saints triumphant. I remember every moment of this day.  I cried my heart out till my voice became hoarse. I was convinced that you had not died and that you blinked when I came in the room,  your bed shook after an hour and I  refused for your body to be taken to the mortuary for over 3 hours. It was the longest day in my life as l hoped for a miracle. I remember you every day and sing the song you loved and my children have come to sing and love too. To be ni Jesu ko di mu..... Jesu Oluwa mi,  mu mi duro dopin. May the Lord keep us steadfast till the end in Jesus name. Sleep well Alamu omo Alaran
Adefemi Farinu Pleasant memories... October 26, 2014
I have too many pleasant memories of my childhood with my uncle to remember them all. My favourite one though was a whole-day sightseeing around Lagos. My uncle's house was usually full during the holidays. It was not uncommon to have 6 cousins from outside Lagos spend their long vacation from school at 21 Atiba Osborne St, Mende. So on this particular day, my uncle packed his car full of picnic supplies and us kids, and off we went. We visited many places but my favourite spot was the bar beach as that was my first time there. On getting back to school at Oyo the following September, I wrote by best essay yet on "How I spent my last holiday." It was picked by my teacher to be read out to the rest of my classmates.

My uncle meant a lot to me. Growing up, I always felt special with him around. His passing brought back a lot of memories. I am thankful for the time I spent with him last year during my last visit and the good conversations that we had twice in his house. I am going to miss him dearly.

Rest in Peace, "Daddy Eko".

Abiodun Awosika Uncle Biodun September 26, 2014

Although Uncle Biodun was my brother-in-law, we called him uncle.  Uncle Biodun was very kind and generous to all of my sisters and brothers and we appreciated him sharing his wife, my sister Morenike with us. He was always encouraging and ensured us to go to school or get a job.  I remember all of the things he did for us, no matter big or small.  In 1976 he gave me a note to his friend Mr. Akinmolayan of VONO Nigeria Ltd, where I got a job as an account clerk.  My late father Ch. J.T. Awosika was always happy to see him whenever he came to Ondo.  He housed about seven of my brother or sisters inLagoswhen moving from Ondo to get a job before moving to their own respective apartments or houses.  Uncle was supportive in different ways.  Uncle Biodun was an amiable gentleman and the best brother-in-law anyone could ask for.  We thank God for his exemplary life.

dypltd@gmail.com The father i knew & loved September 24, 2014
My father who taught me to be who I am sefless and strong with passion for the things i believed in. My father who held my hands and sang for me when I was little. We would have those late nights gists with me sitting on his laps. He taught me to always say the truth even when i would be punished. My father kept high standards for me that i struggled to achieve and i thought he was unfair to me but now i know he wanted me to be the best. My father was human, he was the first man that i saw cry because he believed in expression of one's emotions. My father taught me to dance as he loved life and enjoyed the good things of life. My father was a good sportsman and had his idiosyncracies which i never quite understood. My father gave me the dimples that makes me beautiful from his genes. My father was my role model, my father is my role model, my father will always be my role model... Adieu
